For All Customers
Quality Guarantee: We strive for trust in our locally produced blooms. Any quality concerns upon delivery should be reported to Hive and Petal within 24 hours with supporting evidence photos, etc. See Return Policy for more information.
Locations Served: As needed, we deliver to Polk, Jasper, Marion, and Warren counties in Iowa, serving communities such as Altoona, Ankeny, Colfax, the Greater Des Moines Area, Indianola, Johnston, Knoxville, Monroe, Newton, Norwalk, Pella, Pleasant Hill, Prairie City, Runnells, Urbandale, and West Des Moines. Please note that delivery is not available for all products—reach out to confirm if your order qualifies. If your community isn’t listed, feel free to reach out—we may still be able to accommodate you!
Pricing: Please be advised that our prices are contingent on availability and may change without prior notice. All orders will be quoted and paid in U.S. currency.
Cancellation: We strive to accommodate our customers' needs, however, due to the nature of our business, once an order is placed, it is considered final. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel orders in rare cases of loss or damage resulting from unforeseen circumstances such as acts of God or other factors beyond our control.
Returns: We only accept returns for damaged or defective products at the time of delivery or collection; claims are excluded if products are mishandled or altered post-delivery or post-collection. Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact us within 24 hours with photos and your order number. We'll investigate, and if validated, provide a replacement or credit.
Product Availability and Substitution: We cultivate seasonal flowers, so this means product availability is restricted to specific times of the year, and can be affected by local growing conditions. If substitutions or shortages are necessary before delivery, we will communicate changes in advance of delivery.
Business to Business (B2B) Customer Relationships
B2B Customers: To ensure personalized and efficient service, we require all Business-to-Business (B2B) customers to be set up in our database before making a purchase. Please Contact Us to initiate the setup process.
B2B Order Minimums: Order minimum for delivery is $50, before any taxes and applicable fees. Wholesale discounts available for orders of 30 bunches or more.
B2B Order Confirmation: Registered B2B customers will receive regular notifications about product availability. We'll generate a quote that must be approved by the customer, then the order is added to the schedule. Because we cut-to-order, once the quote is accepted, the order is considered final. No deliveries/pickups are scheduled without a customer-approved order. Past-due balances must be settled before new orders will be accepted.
B2B Payment Terms: For B2B Customers, we accept cash, check, major credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo. A discount may be offered for payments of cash or check on delivery, but not guaranteed. No post-dated checks accepted; insufficient funds checks will incur a $50.00 charge. B2B customers can request Net 15 days payment terms when applying for a customer account. We require B2B customers with Net 15 payment terms to keep a credit card authorization on file with us to keep their account current. Accounts with past due balances may be placed in 'Cash On Delivery' (COD) status or result in termination of the B2B customer account.
B2B Delivery: Clients have the option to pick up their orders directly from the farm at no cost; pickup time must be scheduled in advance. For delivery within a specified area, there is a $15 fee and a $50 order minimum. We may choose to offer discounted deliveries, and this will be disclosed in the order form. Deliveries to remote locations outside of our designated area will be subject to additional charges, calculated on a per-mile basis.
B2B Taxes: For B2B Customers, we are required to keep a resale Tax Certificate 31-014 on file. Share your certificate via email or new customer form to avoid sales tax collection on your orders.
E-Commerce Customer Relationships
E-Commerce Order Confirmation: Retail customers can use the online shop to purchase directly from the farm. Once an order is placed, the order is considered final. No deliveries/pickups are scheduled without a confirmed order. See the policies on Cancellation and Returns below for more details.
E-Commerce Payment Terms: Retail customers purchasing through the online shop can use any available payment methods available through the online checkout, including credit cards and PayPal. Product cannot be reserved and orders are not considered final until full payment is made through the online store. See the policies on Cancellation and Returns below for more details.
Taxes: For E-Commerce Retail Customers, we are required to collect sales taxes on a majority of our products. Applicable products will automatically calculate sales tax in the cart.
CSA Purchase Policy: Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members enjoy access to seasonal products directly from our farm. CSA shares are prepaid and non-refundable, providing a supply of items regularly throughout the season. All CSA deliveries or pickups follow a set schedule. While we strive to meet customer needs, we ask that any schedule adjustments be requested at least 48 hours in advance. However, we cannot guarantee that these adjustments can be accommodated. Missed pickups are forfeited unless prior arrangements have been mutually agreed upon.
